Meeting new people and discovering things is what appeals to Schreiber, who focuses on the interaction with other people and states his humanistic approach is more important than the pictures themselves.
More comfortable outside than in a studio, he shows a preference for immortalizing his subject in a personal and familiar location. The use of his sense of humor brings about a relaxed, less self-conscious atmosphere.
When he was working for a celebrity photo agency, he felt inspired by the photographers' concert pictures. With a fake press pass Schreiber started shooting musicians in an attempt to sell his work to Vibe and Source. Basically he was just doing what he liked best and having fun at free shows. His non posing, natural light portraits soon led to assignments, published work in Esquire Magazine, Rolling Stone, TRACE, New York Magazine, VIBE, XXL, SLAM, SPIN and Arise in addition to solo shows in New York, Berlin, London, Miami and Atlanta.
His portfolio features snapshots of Erkyah Badu, Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Mos Def, Diddy, MIA, Nas, Lil Wayne, Blackstar, DMX and many more. In 2010 a photo book entitled True Hip-Hop, composed of pictures, inside stories and technical details, was published.
