Inside out art project: JR provides public art possibilities

French street artist JR, known for his large black and white portrait pastes, initiated the Inside Out project after having won the TED Prize in 2011.

This global participatory art project includes the public in the artistic process. JR gives the public the opportunity to show their identities, to share their experiences and express their views on social issues in an idealistic attempt to change the world.

Participants are asked to paste their portraits in their own community. All of these worldwide interactions are being documented.

An amazing multimedia concept to offer random people a platform for sharing stories and expressing personal messages.
